Importing your export into HubSpot

Contacts and companies, mapped to the right properties.

HubSpot imports CSVs into contacts, companies, or both at once. An Argorant export contains what you need for a combined import, since each row carries both the person and their organisation.

  1. Download the CSV from Exports.
  2. In HubSpot, go to the import area under your CRM data and start an import from a file.
  3. Choose an import of contacts and companies in one file, so records are associated automatically.
  4. Map the columns to properties: email to Email, name to First name and Last name, title to Job title, company to Company name, and location to the relevant location property.
  5. Confirm how existing records should be handled. HubSpot deduplicates contacts on email address, which is why the email column should be the one you rely on.
  6. Run the import and check the summary for skipped rows.

Before you import, decide whether these contacts should enter your CRM at all. Loading a large prospect list into HubSpot mixes cold prospects with real relationships and distorts every report you run afterwards. Many teams sequence from a dedicated sending tool first and import into HubSpot only once a contact replies.

If you do import, set a lifecycle stage and an original source during the import so these records stay distinguishable from inbound contacts later.
