The public tools are genuinely free, which means they are capped so they stay available. Two messages.
Per visitor
Rate limit reached. Try again later or sign up for unlimited access.
A per-visitor hourly cap, counted per tool. It resets on its own. If you are hitting it, the work you are doing is list work rather than lookup work, and a free account is both faster and unlimited for search and counts.
Global daily capacity
Our free verification tools are at capacity for today. Sign up for a free account to keep going.
This one is not about you: the shared daily budget for anonymous verification is used up. It resets the next day. A free account has its own allowance and is not affected by the anonymous pool.
Why the caps exist
Verification is a real operation against real mail infrastructure, not a lookup in a table. Every check costs something to perform, so an unmetered anonymous endpoint would either be gamed or be slow for everyone. Capping it keeps it fast and keeps it free.
The upgrade path in one line
- Free account: unlimited search and counts, redacted previews, plus 25 starter credits at first API key creation.
- Wallet: 500 credits for $17.50, no subscription, machine access included.
- Plan: monthly credits from about $0.022 each, the full platform, and higher API limits.
For bulk verification of a list you already own, the Verifier handles 1,000 addresses per run in the app, and the CLI splits larger files automatically.
