A code that never arrives is a different problem from a code that arrives and is refused. This article covers the second case.
That code doesn't match
That code doesn't match. Check the latest email or resend.
Almost always one of three things:
- You used an older email. Every resend invalidates the previous code. Scroll to the newest message in the thread and use that one.
- The code was copied with whitespace. Type the six digits by hand instead of pasting.
- You are confirming a different account. If you have two signups open in two tabs, the code belongs to one of them only.
Enter the 6-digit code from your email
Enter the 6-digit code from your email.
The field was submitted empty or with fewer than six digits. Nothing is wrong with the account.
Your email is already confirmed
Your email is already confirmed.
This is good news arriving in an unhelpful tone. The address is confirmed and the confirmation step no longer applies. Go straight to Home. If a feature still looks locked, that is a plan or trial question, not a confirmation question.
Confirmation matters beyond the login: unconfirmed accounts cannot create API keys and cannot receive the 25 starter credits, so it is worth finishing before anything else.
