Importing your export into Smartlead

CSV to campaign, with the mapping that matters.

An Argorant CSV loads into Smartlead without cleanup. The columns map directly onto the lead fields a sequence needs.

  1. Download the CSV from Exports.
  2. In Smartlead, open the campaign you want to fill and choose to import leads from a CSV file.
  3. Map the columns: email to the lead email field, name to first and last name, company to company name, and title to a custom field if you plan to personalise on it.
  4. Enable duplicate checking so contacts already in the campaign or in other campaigns are not added twice.
  5. Confirm the import and check the imported count against the CSV row count.

Before you send. Keep the title and company columns even if your first email does not use them, because they are what makes a follow-up specific. If your export spans several countries, split the file by the location column and run one campaign per market, so send times and language match the recipient.

Because every address in the file passed verification when the export was created, you should not need a separate cleaning step. What still matters is on your side: authenticated sending domains, warmed mailboxes, sane daily volume per mailbox, and a suppression list of everyone you have already contacted.

If you included catch-all addresses, keep them in their own campaign rather than mixing them into this one.
