The standard signup never asks for a card. The 14-day trial (100 credits and 300 campaign emails) starts on email confirmation alone.
A card is only requested on the separate 7-day Starter trial offer that some landing pages carry. If that is the offer you took, this is what happens with the card:
- At checkout, your card is validated by Stripe. You may see a temporary authorization hold from your bank, which is not a charge and disappears on its own.
- During the seven days, no amount is taken.
- On day 8, the first Starter charge of $99 is made, unless you cancelled before then.
Card details never touch Argorant servers. The checkout and the billing portal are hosted by Stripe, and we store only the subscription reference.
You can replace the card at any point from Profile → Billing using 'Manage billing'. Doing so does not restart or extend the trial.
