This run needs more verification checks

The second, separate balance, and why it exists.

Verifying a list you already own draws on a different pool from contact credits, and running out looks like this:

This run needs 4,000 verification checks - you have 750. Verification checks are separate from contact credits: Pro includes 5,000/mo, Scale 25,000/mo, or add a check pack from Billing. You're billed only for fresh checks - recent re-checks are free.

Through the API the same condition returns:

Verification checks are a separate pool from contact credits. Pro includes 5,000/mo, Scale 25,000/mo - or add a check pack. You're billed only for fresh checks; recent re-checks are free.

Why two pools

A contact credit buys a contact from the dataset, verified at the moment you take it. A verification check buys an answer about an address you brought yourself. They are different products, so mixing them into one balance would make both harder to reason about, and would let a large verification run silently eat the credits you had budgeted for contacts.

The 'fresh checks only' rule

You are billed for checks that actually have to be performed. Addresses checked recently are served from that result at no cost, so re-running the same list twice in a week costs a fraction of the first run. This makes it safe to re-verify before every send, which is the habit that keeps bounce rates low.

How to get more checks

  1. Plan allowance - Pro includes 5,000 per month, Scale 25,000.
  2. Check packs - buy a pack under Profile then Billing when a one-off list is bigger than the monthly allowance.
  3. Split the run - verify the portion you are sending this week, and the rest after the allowance refreshes.

Contacts you export from Argorant never draw on this pool. Their verification is included in the credit you already paid.
