Zero is almost always a filter conflict.

A zero count is different from a small one. Small means over-filtered. Zero usually means two filters contradict each other.

  • Contradictory geography. A city selected together with a region or country that does not contain it leaves nothing behind.
  • Role plus seniority that cannot co-exist. Asking for a manager-level band and a C-suite title at the same time returns nobody.
  • An exclusion that swallows the base. Title exclusions are powerful. A broad exclusion can remove the entire set you just built.
  • Keywords that are too literal. Keywords match what a company does, so a long or very specific phrase can match nothing at all. Use fewer, shorter words.
  • Size band mismatch. A tight employee range combined with an industry made mostly of small firms can empty the result.

The reliable fix is to reset and rebuild. Clear all filters, set one country, and confirm you get a large number. Then add filters back one at a time. The step that drops the count to zero is the conflict.

Do the same on Company search if you are unsure whether the problem is the role or the market. If companies exist but people do not, the role filter is the issue.

All of this is free and unlimited on every tier, so rebuild as often as you like.
