Argorant connects Google Workspace through domain-wide delegation: your Workspace admin authorises Argorant's client ID once for your domain, and from then on Argorant can send from, and read replies on, the mailboxes you choose. Nobody has to sign in per mailbox, no passwords are stored, and the admin can revoke the authorisation at any time.
Before you start
- You need a Google Workspace Super Admin for the domain. This is one change per domain, not per mailbox.
- Personal @gmail.com addresses cannot be connected this way. Use a Workspace mailbox on your own domain.
Step 1: authorise Argorant in the Google Admin panel
- In Argorant, open Inboxes, click Add accounts, choose Connect existing, then Gmail / Google Workspace.
- Click the Domain-wide delegation link in step 1. It opens Security → Access and data control → API controls → Manage domain-wide delegation in your Google Admin panel.
- Click Add new.
- Copy the Client ID from Argorant (Copy button) and paste it into the Client ID field.
- Copy the OAuth scopes from Argorant (Copy button) and paste them into the scopes field. All three scopes must be there.
- Click Authorize.
Step 2: choose the mailboxes
- Back in Argorant, enter your domain and the admin's email address, then click Check. Argorant confirms the authorisation and lists every active mailbox on the domain.
- Tick the mailboxes that should send and click Connect. Each one is checked live and appears in Inboxes as Ready.
- Turn on warm-up before sending at volume.
What Argorant can and cannot do
- Can: send campaign emails from the connected mailboxes and read replies to those emails, so they land in your Unibox.
- Cannot: read mailboxes you did not connect, change settings, or delete anything.
- Revoke: delete the entry under Domain-wide delegation. Every connected mailbox stops immediately.
Troubleshooting
- "Google has no authorisation for this domain yet": the Client ID or a scope is missing or has a typo. Open the delegation entry and compare with the Copy buttons in Argorant. Google can take a minute to apply a new entry.
- "This address is not a Workspace admin": the admin email must be a Super Admin on that exact domain.
- Mailbox shows Not reachable after Connect: the user is suspended, has no Gmail licence, or is on a different domain alias. Fix in Google Admin, then run Health check in Inboxes.
