The seniority filter: owner, C-level, VP, director, manager

Filter by authority rather than function, and match seniority to deal size.

Seniority bands let you target by decision-making level instead of by function. Argorant supports owner, C-level, VP, director and manager bands, and you can select more than one.

  • Owner: founders, owners and proprietors. This is the band that matters most for small and mid-sized private companies, where the owner is the only real budget authority.
  • C-level: the executive team. Right for enterprise-sized deals and for anything that changes how the company operates.
  • VP and director: the layer that owns budgets in larger organisations and is far more reachable than the C-suite.
  • Manager: the operators who feel the problem daily. Strong for products with low friction and a bottom-up adoption path.

A practical rule: match seniority to company size. In a 10-person company the owner is the buyer, the operator and the user at once. In a 5,000-person company the owner is unreachable and irrelevant, and a director is your real entry point. If you are running one campaign across a wide size range, split it into two lists with different seniority settings rather than compromising with one.

Seniority combines with titles as an additional restriction, so setting both narrows the result to people who match the function and sit at that level. If a combined search collapses to almost nothing, drop the title filter first and let seniority carry the search.
