Four different messages appear on the download path, and they mean genuinely different things.
The export is not finished
Export not ready (status=running)
That export isn't ready yet (or its file expired). Re-run the export.
Verification runs at the moment of export, so a large job takes real time. Leave the page. The Exports page shows live status and the file appears there when it is done. Nothing is lost by navigating away, and re-clicking does not queue a second job.
The file expired
Export file expired
Export no longer available.
Generated files are kept for a limited window, then removed. The important part: re-running an expired export does not charge you twice for the same contacts. Contacts you have already paid to reveal stay revealed on your account, so the re-run bills only for anything new in the segment.
If the export came from a saved list, open the list and export it again. If it came from an ad-hoc search, rebuild the filters. This is one of the better reasons to save the filter set as a list before exporting.
The download link is stale
Link expired or invalid - generate a fresh one from Exports.
Download links are short-lived and single-purpose, so a link pasted into a chat message or bookmarked last week will not work. Always start from Exports, which mints a fresh link on click.
It is not your export
Not your export
The export belongs to another account. In a shared workspace, teammates see the workspace's exports; a personal account elsewhere is genuinely separate. Check which account you are signed into.
From the CLI, argorant export status and argorant export download do the same thing without a browser, and are the right shape for a scheduled pipeline.
