Campaigns

Published by Argorant

Write a sequence, personalize it, pick your senders and launch. Variables, fallbacks, spintax, variants, follow-ups, subsequences and analytics.

How campaigns work
A campaign is a list of people, a short sequence of emails, the mailboxes it sends from and a schedule.
Create a campaign, step by step
The five steps of the campaign wizard: audience, emails, senders, schedule and launch.
Write the emails in your sequence
Steps, follow-ups, delays, subject and body, and the Variables and Insert menus.
Personalize with variables: the full list
Every variable the editor supports, what it fills in, and an example for each.
Fallbacks: what happens when a value is missing
Write {{variable|fallback}} so every contact gets a complete email. Without one, a contact waits.
Use your own CSV columns as variables
Import any column as a custom field and write it into your emails as {{field_name}}.
Personal lines for each contact
Give every contact their own line through a {{custom_...}} variable, correct or clear saved lines, and the limits that apply.
Vary your wording with spintax
Write {Hi|Hello} and each email picks one option, so your sends do not all read the same.
A/B test with variants
Add up to 20 versions of an email. Sends split evenly so you can compare them.
Follow-ups in the same thread
Follow-ups go out as replies to your first email, with "Re:" and the exact subject that contact got.
Subsequences: different emails for different replies
When a reply contains a keyword, that person leaves the main sequence and gets the subsequence, in the same thread.
What happens when someone replies
Stop on reply, subsequences, out-of-office replies, opt-outs and bounces, and where each reply ends up.
Preview and send a test email
See each email as a real contact will get it, re-roll spintax, and send a test to yourself.
Schedule and sending settings
Sending hours, timezone, weekends, daily limit, gap between sends, plain text and stop on reply.
Bounce protection
Pause a campaign automatically when bounces pass a limit, or when every sending mailbox is offline.
Add leads to a campaign
From a saved list, a CSV, People search or the API. Which grades are added, and what it costs.
Lead statuses in a campaign
What Queued, In sequence, Contacted, Replied, Held and the other statuses mean.
Launch, pause, resume and stop a campaign
What each button does, and what happens to people who are still in the sequence.
Why the Launch button is blocked
Every reason a campaign cannot launch yet, in the words you see, and how to fix each one.
Change a campaign while it is sending
What you can edit live, and what happens to emails that already went out.
The Campaigns page: filters, columns and bulk actions
Find campaigns by status or name, choose columns, and pause, resume, stop or delete many at once.
Organize campaigns in folders
Create, rename and delete folders, and move campaigns between them.
Campaign analytics, explained
Emails sent, replies, positive replies, bounces and opt-outs, and how every rate is counted.
Add leads from your own tools
Use the campaign ID to push leads from Clay, n8n, Zapier, your CRM or your AI agent.
